Senior Cloud Security Developer

What is the Opportunity?

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Cloud Security Developer to join our team in our Fenchurch office in London. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in developing innovative solutions to enhance RBC's cloud security posture, and will also contribute to the developer experience and foster a culture that encourages best security practices.

This is a permanent, full-time role and requires 4 days at our 10 Fenchurch London office.

What will you do? 

• Establish core services and security controls across or Azure, AWS, GCP and Kubernetes environments.

• Design and build cloud security solutions using automation, config as code, and TDD principles.

• Implement SRE practices to enhance operational processes and reliability.

• Collaborate with multiple engineering groups to align on technical strategies.

• Develop security coverage reports to identify gaps and enhance the cloud security strategy.

• Lead and participate in delivering end-to-end integrated solutions.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-Have:

• Familiarity with modern software development, DevOps, and SRE practices.

• Experience in Python

• Experience with AWS, Azure or GCP.

• Experience with Kubernetes and containerization.

• Experience working with container tools and platforms.

• Experience in building and optimizing CI/CD pipelines.

• Knowledge of infrastructure as code tools like ARM, CloudFormation, and Terraform.

• Must be available for on call support.

 Nice to have:

• Experience with observability tools and frameworks like Splunk, Dynatrace, Datadog, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry etc.

• Experience with Open Policy Agent

• Experience in Go, TypeScript, or any other modern programming language.

• Cloud or Security certifications
