Project Manager - Sports & Events Facilities

Parsons is seeking an experienced Project Manager - Sports & Events Facilities to support the delivery of major stadium and sports venue developments. In this role you will be responsible for managing assigned project packages and coordinating multidisciplinary design, procurement, construction, testing & commissioning, and handover activities to ensure successful project delivery. The role requires strong project management, technical coordination, and stakeholder engagement skills to ensure all project elements are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with quality and operational requirements. The Project Manager will work closely with the Senior Project Manager and Project Director to drive day-to-day project execution and delivery.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Manage assigned project packages throughout the project lifecycle from planning through handover.

• Coordinate multidisciplinary design, construction, testing & commissioning, and handover activities.

• Monitor project progress against approved schedules, budgets, and quality objectives.

• Coordinate consultants, contractors, specialists, and project stakeholders to ensure effective project delivery.

• Review design submissions, technical deliverables, and contractor proposals.

• Manage project reporting, action tracking, risk registers, and issue resolution processes.

• Support procurement activities, tender evaluations, and contractor management.

• Coordinate stadium-specific facilities including spectator seating areas, hospitality suites, VIP facilities, concourses, athlete facilities, media areas, venue technology systems, and supporting infrastructure.

• Monitor testing, commissioning, operational readiness, and handover requirements.

• Support stakeholder coordination and the management of approvals and authority interfaces.

• Ensure compliance with project management processes, quality standards, and HSE requirements.

• Identify project risks and assist in implementing mitigation measures.

• Prepare progress reports, presentations, meeting minutes, and executive summaries.

What Required Skills You’ll Bring

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Project Management, or related discipline.

• PMP certification or equivalent project management qualification preferred.

• Professional registration or membership of a recognized institution is desirable.

• Minimum 12 years of professional experience in project management, design management, construction management, or project delivery.

• Experience supporting the delivery of stadiums, arenas, convention centers, airports, hospitality developments, or similarly complex projects.

• Strong understanding of design coordination, procurement, construction management, testing & commissioning, and handover processes.

• Experience managing multidisciplinary consultants and contractors.

• Good understanding of stadium operations, crowd circulation, hospitality facilities, venue technology systems, and event-readiness requirements.

• Strong planning, organizational, reporting, and communication skills.

• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and coordinate complex interfaces.
