ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Essential functions may include, but are not limited to the functions listed below. Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
- Plan, prioritize, assign, supervise, review and participate in the work of staff responsible for the daily operation of airport parking facilities and commercial ground transportation services.
- Establish schedules and methods for providing landside operations services; identify resource needs; review needs with appropriate management staff; allocate resources accordingly.
- Participate in the development of policies and procedures; monitor work activities to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures; make recommendations for changes and improvements to existing standards and procedures.
- Recommend and assist in the implementation of goals and objectives; implement approved policies and procedures.
- Perform the more technical and complex tasks of the work unit including coordinating security and maintenance activities for landside areas.
- Operate computerized revenue control equipment; receive and enter parking tickets into computer; audit tickets, receipts and funds; prepare reports as necessary.
- Inspect landside areas and assign or coordinate preventive maintenance and repair tasks; ensure that areas are clean and safe.
- Respond to public inquiries in a courteous manner; provide information within the area of assignment; resolve complaints in an efficient and timely manner.
- Participate in the selection of landside operations staff; provide or coordinate staff training; work with employees to correct deficiencies; implement discipline procedures.
- Participate in the preparation and administration of assigned budget; submit budget recommendations; monitor expenditures.
- Prepare analytical and statistical reports on operations and activities.
- Attend and participate in professional group meetings; stay abreast of new trends and innovations in the field of airport operations and maintenance.
- Perform related duties and responsibilities as required.
Education and experience directly related to the minimum requirements below may be interchangeable on a year for year basis.
Associate's degree in business management or a two year technical certificate in office administration; and
Four (4) years of experience in any of the following areas of facility operations; maintenance, clerical or administrative support, and cash handling; and
To include one (1) year of supervisory or lead experience.
Parking facility operations experience preferred.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Possession of a valid New Mexico Driver's License, or the ability to obtain by date of hire.
Possession of a City Operator's Permit (COP) within six (6) months from date of hire.
Must be able to successfully qualify for and maintain a Sunport Access Control Card as determined by the criteria set forth by the policies and guidelines of the Aviation Department and the Transportation Security Administration (TSA).
Successful completion of a security background check conducted by U.S. Customs & Border Protection, if applicable.
Environmental:
Airfield environment; exposure to noise, dust, grease, smoke, fumes, gases and inclement weather conditions.
Physical:
Essential and supplemental functions may require maintaining physical condition necessary for heavy, moderate or light lifting; standing or walking for prolonged periods of time.
