Senior Material Planning Specialist
Role Purpose:
The Senior Material Planning Specialist ensures the execution of the end-to-end Material Planning strategies and concept.
Role Responsibilities:
Ensure process adherence and use of best practices by executing the documented operational procedures;
Ensure timely release of purchased order and distribution orders for all manufacturing and distribution sites worldwide with total cost of ownership;
Works closely in collaboration with cross functional staff across operational procurement, engineering, supply chain, quality including commodity professionals/purchasing and manufacturing teams to issue raw materials requirements on time;
Coordinates and monitors the acquisition of materials in support of New Product Introduction programs, projects transfer;
Update & maintain parameter in End-to-end planning system according to End-to-end planning concept;
Review and manage material scrap activities;
Decision for last time buy, long term contract with BU and procurement team;
Review shelf-life constraint or solderability requirement commodities to ensure availability;
Responsible to investigate and prepare decision on process and technology exceptions to drive towards efficiency and effectiveness, as part of the continuous improvement process for standard processes;
Implement decision in End-to-end planning tool;
Track and maintain proper levels of stocked inventory within approved guideline and defined KPI;
Prepare and report planning relevant KPI’s – SFM participation including escalation (handling of escalation cases, etc.);
Assure that the purchased raw material and merchandise will meet the requirements of the contract as well as government specifications;
Understand clearly the future demand & how is the stock inventory to meet material SIOP;
Understand different planning system with or within P+F with intermediate level;
Lead sub-project which is given by superior;
Provide necessary training and advise Material Planning Specialist on daily handling, operational matters and process improvement within End-to-end planning and other legacy systems;
Role Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Economics or related;
Good computer and Microsoft Office skills are required;
Minimum 5 years of work experience in a professional structure manufacturing environment and material planning or purchasing;
Proficiency in English (written and spoken) is essential for the role.
Strong knowledge of planning and ordering via ERP system; end-to-end thinking in planning;
Commodity technical knowledge and variance of planning system would be an advantage;
