The Mission

Mark Kelly for Senate is the campaign organization for Senator Mark Kelly of Arizona. Re-elected to a six-year term in 2022 after a ground-breaking win in the 2020 special election, Senator Kelly is a proven leader in the Senate and an independent voice for Arizonans. Mark Kelly for Senate is continuing to build its team by hiring a full-time Creative Director to manage the visual brand of  Mark Kelly for Senate and its associated projects.

The Opportunity

Our Creative Director will be the driving force behind the visual Mark Kelly for Senate brand. They will work closely with the Senior Advisor, Chief of Staff, and key members of the leadership team to expand the creative content and digital communications of the campaign with an emphasis on video production and storytelling.

Duties

• Manage the visual brand of Mark Kelly for Senate including all video content
• Serve as the primary photographer/videographer for all campaign events
• Travel with Senator Kelly for the collection of video and photography content as needed
• Script, produce, and edit all of the campaign’s video needs for campaign-owned platforms such as YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok
• Collaborate with the Communications and Digital Directors on the visual production of videos for external platforms
• Coordinate with the campaign’s Digital Director to produce content according to the campaign’s editorial calendar 
• Support the Digital Director with social copywriting and social media posting
• Maintain and manage the archive of campaign visual assets

Qualifications

Required

• Experience managing creative visuals on a campaign.
• At least one cycle of experience traveling with an elected principal.
• Strong writing skills, with experience drafting content in a principal’s voice.
• Experience publishing video content across multiple platforms.
• Demonstrated ability to capture, produce and edit multiple video projects simultaneously.
• High proficiency with Adobe Premiere.

Preferred

• Experience with animation and design, and intermediate proficiency with the entire Adobe suite.
• Knowledge of Arizona electoral politics or prior involvement in Arizona campaigns.
• Spanish fluency with an understanding of regional dialects.
• Experience managing support staff.
• Background in one or more battleground statewide races.
• Previous work with an incumbent.

Logistics

• Salary: $9,000/month.

• Time Off: Mark Kelly for Senate maintains competitive time-off benefits, including 12 days of vacation per year.
• Location: Based in Washington, DC, Tucson, AZ, or Phoenix, AZ, remote to start
