The Family Medicine clinic physician focuses on utilizing a holistic approach to patient care with emphasis on health promotion & patient education/counseling as well as supporting direct care staff through education and mentorship with the shared goal of providing exceptional patient care to a mixed population of community patients in the associated clinics locates in Kern County.
Requirements
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Plan and carry out medical care programs for children from birth through elder care to aid in mental and physical growth and development.
- Examine patients to determine the presence of disease and to establish preventative health practices; determine nature and extent of disease or injury.
- Prescribe, and administer medications and immunizations, and perform a variety of medical duties.
- Order, perform, and interpret tests and analyze records, reports, and examination information to diagnose patients' condition.
- Hours may vary, call and some weekends required.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Medical doctor degree or foreign equivalent, Board
- Certified/Board Eligible in Family Medicine, and California Medical license or ability to obtain.
