The Standard Missile 6 (SM-6) program is seeking to hire an Associate Director, Program Management to lead the Performance, Field and Flight Test  (PFFT) Program organization.  This role will manage a portfolio of contracts and program managers, including but not limited to:

• Software Upgrade Programs (SWUP)
• SM-6 Demonstration Programs
• SM-6 Flight Tests
• Hardware Upgrade Programs
• Multiple Engineering Technical Services Contracts

The PFFT Program Manager reports directly to the Sr. Director, SM-6 and is responsible for the full program lifecycle within the portfolio. This role will be responsible for the successful proposal and negotiation of new scope, execution of current contracts and proactively partnering across the NSMS portfolio for successful integration and cut-in’s, as required.

Will You Will Do:

• Ownership of related profit and loss, AOP and financial performance commitments.
• Partner across SM-6 programs to ensure interdependencies are understood and overall portfolio commitments are understood and met.
• Understand and represent customer(s) needs to leadership
• Partner with program leaders to shape/capture future acquisitions
• Build and maintain excellent relationships with the customer counterparts
• Actively manage risk, opportunity, cost, quality, and schedule performance
• Strength RLPM adoption within the PFFT portfolio
• Ability to travel as needed
• Maintain strong relationships with PMX303 (formerly IWS3), Tech Reps, and DCMA, clearly communicating portfolio updates, risks and mitigations.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 12 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 10 years’ experience
• Production Program/Project Management Experience
• Prior experience leading program or project execution in development, software upgrades, fleet sustainment or engineering services/support.
• Prior experience with managing costs, schedules, and technical performance using EVMS principles or similar program/system

 

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Strong communication skills with demonstrated ability to engage customers and internal stakeholders
• Demonstrated ability to work across business areas, manage varied tasks, requirements and commitments and interface successfully with numerous disciplines
• Program Management certification level 4 or ability to achieve within 6 months
• Demonstrated proficiency managing cost, schedule, and technical performance for large scale programs with proficient use of program management tools
• Proven success creating and maintaining strong relationships with cross-program, cross-functional, and multiple customers
• Experience working with Navy and other customers on government programs (large/complex) with direct customer interfaces
• Demonstrated ability to work across business areas, manage tasks, requirements and commitments and interface successfully with numerous disciplines
• Ensure customer performance feedback and actions/requests are responded to in a timely, comprehensive, and accurate manner
• Working knowledge of metrics and demonstrated ability to forecast and manage financials
• Proven ability to develop and maintain long term business relationships with customers and partners.
• Demonstrated experience articulating customer positions, status, and strategies to senior management.
• Prior experience managing numerous captures in parallel.
• Prior experience managing programs with high technical risk and visibility.

The salary range for this role is 157,200 USD - 298,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
