to join our Infrastructure Team in the Platform Domain.

About the team 👥

We're a team of 200+ Product Engineers building Business Management solution that actually works for the people using it. Our core stack is Ruby on Rails and React but the interesting work right now is what we're building on top of that: agentic workflows, LLM-integrated features, systems that behave probabilistically rather than deterministically.

Our

Infrastructure

team’s mission is to keep the Factorial application running 24/7, ensure its performance, scalability and security, as well as research improvements to enable Product Engineers to develop new use cases adding value to our customers.

What are we looking for? 🎯

8+ years of Software/Systems Engineering experience, with 5+ years as Cloud SRE

Solid experience

monitoring and troubleshooting large-scale

cloud deployments

Hands-on with

Terraform or Ansible

for IaC

Observability experience with

Datadog, Grafana,

or OpenTelemetry

Proficiency with AWS or Azure

Someone able to debug issues in Kubernetes clusters

Experience managing large MySQL clusters with HA configuration

Someone who breaks down complex problems into clear, shareable elements

Someone who enjoys mentoring and helping others grow

Someone who can communicate professionally in English

What You’ll be doing?

As a Staff Engineer you’ll

lead technical discussions

and provide guidance to more junior engineers on best practices and coding standards.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams

to ensure successful delivery of features.

Identify and troubleshoot software defects

and implement effective solutions.

You will be a product-centric engineer, taking ownership of big initiatives, and being interested in the outcome, not just the output. About the outcome, you’ll also work with your team members to

establish goals and plan a quarterly roadmap

, putting special attention to the technical needs of our domain.

You will

review code,

and get feedback on your own code.

You will

learn from the entire team

, both on technical topics (performance, architecture…) and core skills, in an environment driven by engineering quality.

You will

share your knowledge

, through the RFCs you write, pairing sessions, our mentoring programme or the occasional appearance in the monthly Tech All Hands.

Technical Interview

with our Factorial engineers. We'll provide an incident situation and we expect you to guide us through it like you normally would.
