An exciting opportunity exists for a Postdoctoral Research Associate ( Level A) (Pharmacy Practice Research) to join the Sydney School of Pharmacy and contribute to an NHMRC Investigator Grant research program. This position will support the development and delivery of innovative pharmacy practice research focused on improving healthcare outcomes through evidence-based interventions and stakeholder engagement.
Working closely with the Chief Investigator and research team, the successful candidate will play a key role in the co-design of research with clinicians and people with lived experience, preparation of ethics applications, and establishment of a randomised controlled trial. This position offers an excellent opportunity for an early career researcher to develop their research profile while working on a nationally significant research program.
This is a part-time, fixed-term position for 12 months based at the University of Sydney's Camperdown campus.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- Coordinate and manage research projects to ensure milestones, timelines, and deliverables are achieved
- undertake qualitative and co-design research activities with clinicians and consumers
- prepare and submit human research ethics applications and study documentation
- assist with the establishment and implementation of a randomised controlled trial
- liaise and collaborate with clinicians, researchers, stakeholders, and people with lived experience
- contribute to the preparation of research publications and dissemination activities
- support the development of competitive grant applications
- assist with mentoring and supporting higher degree research students and junior researchers
- contribute to a collaborative and productive research environment.
About you
- PhD in Pharmacy, Public Health, Health Services Research, Psychology, Allied Health, or a related discipline (or a PhD submitted and awaiting conferral)
- experience leading or coordinating research projects
- demonstrated experience in preparing research manuscripts for publication
- strong understanding of qualitative research methodologies
- excellent project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities
- strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
- excellent written and verbal communication skills
- the ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary research team
- an interest in mentoring students and contributing to a positive research culture.
