MEP Quantity Surveying Executive

On behalf of our client, Manpower Malta is seeking an MEP Quantity Surveying Executive to support the commercial management of MEP projects from tender stage through to final account. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their Quantity Surveying career while gaining exposure to the full project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare quantity take-offs, BOQs, and cost estimates from MEP drawings and specifications
• Support tender submissions and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations
• Monitor project costs, budgets, and cost forecasts
• Track variations and support payment applications
• Review material quantities and procurement requirements
• Assess subcontractor payment applications and completed works
• Assist with final accounts and project close-out
• Maintain accurate commercial records and reporting

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building Services, Construction Management, or a related field
• Minimum 2 years' experience in Quantity Surveying or Estimating within construction or MEP
• Strong understanding of BOQs, measurement principles, and MEP terminology
• Ability to read and interpret MEP drawings
• Advanced Excel skills
• Strong analytical, numerical, and organizational abilities
• Excellent English communication skills
• Valid driving licence and willingness to attend site visits

Preferred

• Experience working on MEP or building services projects
• Working towards RICS, CIOB, or equivalent professional membership
• Experience with estimating and take-off software such as CostX or Bluebeam
• Familiarity with FIDIC, JCT, or local contract forms
• Knowledge of the Maltese construction market and supply chain
• Maltese language skills
