Job Summary
Responsible for meeting operational and compliance employment requirements, managing team and leader accountability, and developing processes to reduce organizational risk. Leads a knowledgeable team to share general labor law and compliance updates across People and Culture and beyond. Understands the full team member compliance lifecycle and ensures strategies meet policy, regulatory, and legal standards, with clear plans for all Corewell Health staff to meet compliance deadlines. Utilizes strong leadership skills, data analytics knowledge, process development, and collaboration to drive results and improve customer experience. Implements ongoing improvements and long-term solutions to effectively and efficiently manage team member compliance initiates and accountability management within a complex integrated healthcare environment.
Essential Functions
- Provides strategic and operational leadership by hiring, developing, coaching, and motivating team members to achieve quality, service, compliance, and accountability objectives. Fosters a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and career growth through performance management, cross-training, recognition, and removal of barriers that impact team effectiveness and outcomes.
- Leads the execution of team member compliance programs and employment-related regulatory requirements across the employment lifecycle, ensuring timely, accurate, and legally compliant service delivery. Oversees document management, licensure and certification verification processes, audit support activities, onboarding compliance requirements, and resource allocation to meet operational demands and service level expectations.
- Develops and implements compliance and accountability strategies that mitigate organizational risk and promote adherence to regulatory, accreditation, and organizational requirements. Monitors compliance performance oversees accountability reporting, partners with Centers of Excellence and business leaders to address compliance gaps, and implements data-driven solutions to improve outcomes and reduce non-compliance.
- Drives continuous improvement through the development of compliance dashboards, reporting metrics, audits, and process reviews to enhance data integrity, operational performance, and regulatory compliance. Collaborates with leaders and corporate partners to optimize processes, influence policy enhancements, leverage technology solutions, and foster a culture of accountability across the organization.
- Actively participates in safety initiatives and risk mitigating measures where appropriate and completes all position and unitsafety related competencies and requirements on a timely basis.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in business, human resource management or other related disciplines
- 5 years of relevant experience within human resources and/or operations preferably at a highly matrixed or healthcare related organization
Preferred
- 2 years of relevant experience managing a team or leading cross-functional operations in an organization with matrixed operations
