Job Summary:
An Adult Day Associate is responsible for the direct care, development, implementation, coordination, provision of program services to adults with disabilities in the Adult Day Program. You will need to implement, supervise, and encourage client participation in social, leisure, and recreational activities. An Adult Day Associate is also responsible to accurately complete and document daily goals.
*ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Provide direct support to the individuals we serve according to their Individual Service Plans and individualized needs.
· Possess excellent communication and relational skills to interact and communicate in a professional
manner with guardians, staff, and participants.
· Participate in preparation and implementation of daily activities.
· Reports changes in participant’s condition or family situation to administrators and supervisors.
· Attend and assist with community integration opportunities as required.
· Ability to assist with personal cares.
· Provide a safe program area by performing sanitation requirements.
· Ability to meet physical and mental requirements necessary to perform all functions of position.
· Ability to maintain confidentiality.
· Ability to follow safety regulations in all facilities while working.
· Provide written documentation of services provided according to funding source regulations.

Requirements
ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Maintain up-to-date working knowledge of changes in the HCBS and CARF rules.
· Required Training: Complete 9.5 hours of online training within the first 30 days of hire. Must be certified in CPR & be a Medication Manager or be willing to obtain certification within 6 months of hire if not previously certified.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: High School Diploma or GED is required.
Experience: Experience working with elderly individuals in a health care setting is preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
· Ability to meet physical and mental requirements necessary to perform all functions of position.
· Ability to maintain confidentiality.
· Communication and relational skills to interact in a professional manner with parents, guardians, staff, and participants.
Technology/Equipment: Ability to operate a variety of office equipment to include but not limited to personal computers, printers, and scanners, Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite software.
Physical Demands: This position requires physical abilities that include one or more of the following (this is not a comprehensive list): pushing or pulling persons in wheelchairs, transferring persons weighing at least 100 pounds to and from wheelchairs with another staff member, lifting 25 pounds, frequent bending, stooping, kneeling motions, physical interventions.
Mental Demands: Using standard mental and visual attention continuously, with occasional periods of continuous alertness and concentration.
Hearing: The noise level in the program environment is occasionally quiet and frequently moderate.
