JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS
JOB SUMMARY:
The Academic Support Partner serves as a liaison between the health system and academic institutions to manage student clinical experiences, support workforce strategy initiatives, and strengthen partnerships. This role exercises independent judgment in managing student clinical placements across multiple disciplines, optimizing relationships with academic partners, facilitating education affiliation agreements, managing student and instructor onboarding processes and regulatory compliance, and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the St. Tammany Academic Center. This role consults with and advises operational leaders, clinical educators, academic stakeholders, and students to ensure and promote a high-quality learning environment that supports the health system's talent pipelines and workforce strategies.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Undergraduate degree in human resources, business or related field required; master’s degree preferred. Three to five years of experience in healthcare, clinical coordination, academia, workforce development, or a related field preferred.
Current professional Human Resources Certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP) preferred.
Preferred knowledge of clinical education processes and healthcare workforce development; understanding of healthcare regulatory and compliance requirements related to student placements; excellent organizational, project management, and problem-solving abilities; strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively; proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must possess good physical health. Some requirements include but are not limited to standing, sitting or walking for long periods of time. Lifting at least 20 pounds is required. Must be able to work with a moderate level of noise.
