Description
- Responsible for the cleaning and light maintenance of the Justice Center, restrooms, curtilage, and precincts of the police department.
- Sweeps, mops, buffs, strips, and waxes floors; dusts, wipes, cleans, washes, sanitizes, and removes trash for an overall professional appearance of the police department.
- Directs work release inmates daily.
- Receives and reviews a variety of information to include supervisor instructions, MSDS sheets, work orders, safety rules and emails.
- Prepares and/or generates a variety of information to include equipment request forms, chemical request forms and e-mails.
- Refers to MSDS sheets, equipment manuals, and PSP manual.
- Utilizes a variety of computer software such as e-mail.
- Interacts and communicates with a wide variety of groups and individuals to include supervisors, co-workers, inmates, public and City Hall.
- Utilizes and/or operates a variety of equipment and/or machinery to include a floor scrubber, floor buffer, city truck and a leaf blower.
- Utilizes a variety of tools and/or sets of tools such as mops, brooms, dust mops, dust pans and floor blowers.
High School Diploma or its equivalent; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
