About the Role
We are looking for a hands-on Digital Workplace Engineer with 2–3 years of experience to support SharePoint migration and develop practical solutions using SharePoint Online, Power Apps, and Power Automate.
The role focuses on migrating content, sites, and workflows from SG-DCS, SharePoint 2013, and other legacy environments to SharePoint Online. You will work with business users, product owners, and technical stakeholders to support migration activities, develop solutions, troubleshoot issues, and provide documentation and user support.
This is a hands-on delivery role and does not require broad ownership of Azure architecture or enterprise DevOps.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the migration of sites, documents, metadata, permissions, and workflows from SG-DCS, SharePoint 2013, and other legacy environments to SharePoint Online.
- Assess existing content and environments to support migration planning, mapping, remediation, and execution.
- Use migration tools such as ShareGate or Microsoft Migration Manager to execute migration jobs, review results, resolve errors, and validate migrated content.
- Configure and maintain SharePoint Online sites, document libraries, lists, metadata, views, navigation, and permissions.
- Build and enhance Power Apps and Power Automate workflows to support business processes and productivity requirements.
- Develop or modify lightweight SharePoint components and integrations using SPFx, JavaScript, or TypeScript where required.
- Support discovery workshops, content inventories, migration mapping, testing, cutover activities, and post-migration support.
- Troubleshoot migration, access, workflow, and application issues, escalating complex issues where necessary.
- Prepare technical documentation, test scripts, user guides, and migration status updates.
- Work with users to validate migrated content, gather feedback, and implement improvements.
- Apply relevant Microsoft 365, Power Platform, and development practices with guidance from senior team members.
Required Skills and Experience
- 2–3 years of hands-on experience developing or supporting SharePoint, Microsoft 365, or Power Platform solutions.
- Practical experience with SharePoint Online, including sites, document libraries, lists, metadata, permissions, and basic administration.
- Hands-on exposure to SharePoint migration, including content assessment, migration execution, validation, or issue remediation.
- Experience with ShareGate, Microsoft Migration Manager, or similar migration tools is preferred.
- Hands-on experience building or maintaining Power Apps and Power Automate workflows.
- Basic development experience with JavaScript or TypeScript.
- Exposure to SPFx, React, Microsoft Graph, or REST APIs is advantageous.
- Strong troubleshooting and testing skills with the ability to resolve technical issues systematically.
- Ability to prepare clear technical documentation and user guides.
- Ability to work with business users and technical stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver practical solutions.
- Familiarity with source control and basic software development practices.
- Proactive and hands-on attitude with a willingness to learn and take ownership of assigned tasks.
Preferred Skills
- Exposure to SharePoint 2013, SharePoint Server, SG-DCS, or other legacy collaboration platforms.
- Experience supporting user acceptance testing (UAT), migration cutovers, or post-migration hypercare.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Lists, Forms, Dataverse, Power BI, or Microsoft 365 Copilot.
- Basic understanding of records management, retention, access control, and information governance.
- Experience working in government, regulated, or security-conscious environments.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer with 2–3 years of relevant experience and a strong interest in SharePoint migration and Power Platform development.
- You should be comfortable executing migration activities, building straightforward applications and workflows, troubleshooting technical issues, engaging with users, and learning new tools and technologies.
- Deep expertise in Azure architecture, enterprise integration, or CI/CD is not required for this role.
