Our unparalleled technical expertise, proven experience and partnership with our clients has allowed us to perfect the process necessary to deliver world-class medical devices through innovative material science, engineering, and manufacturing. Our primary capabilities include: Nitinol components and tubing, balloon expandable stents and catheters, complex catheters, biomedical textiles, and high precision polymer tubing. We take pride in our position as the leader in the medical technology space and are driven by a passion to create products that our clients have envisioned for their customers.
We are looking for an HRIS Analyst II to join our team in Costa Rica.
In this role, you will play a key role in optimizing and advancing our Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), ensuring system efficiency, data integrity, and effective governance. As a trusted technical and functional partner to HR Centers of Excellence, Payroll, Finance, and IT, you will translate complex business needs into scalable, innovative system solutions that enhance HR operations and support business objectives.
You will take end-to-end ownership of assigned HRIS functional areas, lead system enhancements and projects of moderate to high complexity, and drive continuous improvement through process optimization, automation, and data-driven insights. Additionally, you will serve as a subject matter expert, sharing knowledge and mentoring other HRIS team members while helping strengthen system capabilities and deliver an exceptional experience for HR stakeholders across the organization.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- System Ownership & Configuration: Serve as the primary functional and technical owner for assigned Workday modules (e.g., Core HCM, Compensation, Absence, Benefits, Talent). Independently design, configure, maintain, and optimize business processes, condition rules, calculated fields, and security configurations within established governance standards. Assess cross-functional dependencies and downstream impacts to ensure reliable, scalable, and consistent system solutions.
- Release Management & System Maintenance: Coordinate the analysis, testing, and implementation of Workday releases, enhancements, and system updates. Evaluate new functionality, assess business impact, and recommend adoption opportunities. Develop and execute comprehensive test scenarios, including regression testing, security validation, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT). Ensure configuration changes are properly documented, validated, and deployed in accordance with change-management controls.
- Production Support & Operational Excellence: Serve as an escalation point for complex HRIS issues, system errors, and process failures. Conduct root cause analysis and implement sustainable corrective and preventive solutions. Manage assigned support requests and incidents according to established priorities, service levels, and escalation procedures. Monitor recurring issues and system performance trends, proactively identifying opportunities to improve reliability, operational efficiency, and user experience. Support the technical preparation, configuration, execution, and validation of critical HR programs, including annual Compensation Planning, Performance Management, and other assigned processes.
- Projects & Process Improvement & Global Standardization: Independently manage small to moderately complex HRIS projects and lead assigned workstreams within larger initiatives, from requirements gathering through implementation. Coordinate project activities, timelines, testing, documentation, and stakeholder communication. Identify opportunities to simplify, automate, and standardize HR processes across the organization while accommodating country-specific legal, payroll, and operational requirements. Partner with HR, Payroll, Finance, IT, and other stakeholders to evaluate business needs, recommend effective solutions, and support successful implementation.
- Integrations, Automation & Data Management: Support, monitor, and troubleshoot inbound and outbound integrations between Workday and payroll systems, benefits providers, and other third-party applications. Proactively identify failed transactions, incomplete processes, and data synchronization issues, coordinating timely resolution with technical and functional stakeholders. Execute and validate mass data loads, including EIBs, data conversions, and bulk updates. Establish and perform recurring data reconciliation activities to ensure accuracy and consistency between Workday and downstream systems. Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and strengthen preventive controls.
- Reporting, Analytics & Data Quality: Design, develop, and maintain advanced Workday reports, interactive dashboards, and business intelligence solutions using tools such as Microsoft Power BI, Power Query, DAX, Excel, and Workday reporting capabilities such as Prism and Discovery Boards. Build and maintain data models, integrate information from multiple sources, and develop standardized KPIs to support HR analytics and business decision-making. Apply data transformation, validation, and reconciliation techniques to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability. Optimize reporting performance, automate data refreshes, and proactively identify opportunities to enhance data accessibility, analytical capabilities, and reporting efficiency.
- Data Governance, Security & Compliance: Maintain and monitor Workday role-based security configurations and access permissions in accordance with established policies and segregation-of-duties principles. Perform periodic security reviews and data integrity audits, identifying and resolving discrepancies and potential compliance risks. Support internal and external audit requirements, including documentation, evidence gathering, and remediation activities. Ensure HRIS configurations, data handling practices, and processes align with applicable privacy, security, and regulatory requirements across supported countries.
- Stakeholder Partnership, Training & Knowledge Sharing: Act as a trusted HRIS partner to HR Business Partners, Payroll, Finance, and other functional stakeholders. Understand business requirements, challenge inefficient practices, evaluate alternatives, and communicate technical recommendations clearly to non-technical audiences. Develop and maintain system documentation, configuration specifications, procedures, and training materials. Deliver training and guidance to HR teams, managers, and employees on system functionality and process changes. Share technical knowledge and provide guidance to less experienced team members to strengthen overall team capabilities.
- Individual Development: Maintain current knowledge of Workday capabilities, product roadmaps, HR technology trends, and industry best practices. Participate in relevant professional communities, vendor forums, and learning opportunities. Proactively identify system risks, improvement opportunities, and emerging business needs. Demonstrate strong ownership and accountability by independently managing assigned responsibilities, anticipating challenges, following through on commitments, and delivering sustainable solutions that improve operational efficiency, data quality, and employee experience.
