Supervisor Assisted Living

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Supervisor Assisted Living, you will directly supervise employees in the Assisted Living Department, as well as supervise and participate in the organization and delivery of all personal care services to residents.

To be successful in this role, you must carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; and addressing complaints and resolving problems.

• Supervises Assisted Living staff to provide adequate around-the-clock coverage. Performs regular shift duties as required to maintain adequate staffing levels.
• Assures effective communication, teamwork, and delegation of appropriate tasks to care providers.
• Provides emotional support and active listening to Assisted Living residents, independent residents, and their families.
• Assists with covering staff shortages in emergencies, as needed
• Prepares and updates individual resident health records including initial assessments, physician examination, schedules of services, medications.
• Establishes and maintains regularly scheduled contact with each resident client and family to ensure timely review of appropriateness of care plan.

Job Requirements

Required

• High School Graduate General Studies and
• Minimum of five (5) years experience in a geriatric environment or similar combined experience upon hire or
• High School GED General Studies and
• Minimum of five (5) years experience in a geriatric environment or similar combined experience upon hire 
• Basic Life Support - CPR (BLS-CPR), upon hire and
• First Aid (FAC), upon hire
• Demonstrated computer skills:  Word, Excel and Outlook upon hire
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills upon hire
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form upon hire
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations upon hire
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public upon hire

Preferred

• Demonstrated knowledge of Title 22 regulations upon hire preferred
• RCFE Administrator certification upon hire preferred
• College degree, upon hire
