Accounting and Tax Manager

To support our growth and strengthen our Finance organization, we are looking for an Accounting and Tax Manager. 

Reporting to the Finance Director, you will lead our Accounting team and play a key role in ensuring the reliability of our financial information, the robustness of our internal controls and full compliance with accounting and tax regulations. 

This position combines technical expertise, people leadership and continuous improvement in an international environment.

Mission

As our Accounting and Tax Manager, you will be responsible for the integrity of BEA’s financial and tax operations and act as a trusted partner for both local and Group stakeholders. 

You will:

• Lead the monthly, semi-annual and annual closing processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in line with Belgian GAAP, IFRS and Halma Group requirements.

• Oversee all accounting activities, providing guidance on complex accounting matters and ensuring the quality and reliability of financial data.

• Manage BEA's tax compliance framework, including corporate income tax, VAT, transfer pricing and other direct and indirect tax matters, while acting as a key contact for external advisors and tax authorities.

• Drive and continuously strengthen our internal control environment, ensuring compliance with Group policies and supporting risk management and governance initiatives.

• Serve as the main point of contact for internal and external auditors, coordinating audits and ensuring efficient resolution of findings and recommendations.

• Contribute to the modernization of the Finance function through process optimization, automation and digitalization initiatives.

• Lead, coach and develop the Accounting team, creating an environment that encourages ownership, collaboration and continuous learning.

Beyond operational excellence, you will play an active role in supporting the Finance Director on strategic topics, helping to ensure that the Finance function continues to evolve alongside the business.

Your Qualities & Skills

You are an experienced finance leader who combines strong technical expertise with business acumen and a collaborative leadership style.

You bring:

• A Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Tax or a related field.

• At least 8 years of experience in accounting and taxation within an international and/or industrial environment.

• Proven experience managing and developing a team while fostering engagement and high performance.

• Strong knowledge of Belgian GAAP, IFRS, financial reporting and closing processes.

• Solid expertise in corporate taxation, VAT, transfer pricing and regulatory compliance.

• Experience with internal controls, risk management and governance frameworks.

• Strong analytical capabilities and the ability to translate complex financial matters into clear business recommendations.

• Fluency in French and a professional level of English.
