Role Overview
The Credit Desk Intern is responsible for supporting the day-to-day activities of the Hong Kong Credit Desk. The role provides exposure to credit markets, fixed income products and investment solutions, while assisting with research, analysis, administrative support and business initiatives targeting Hong Kong and Mainland China clients.
The intern will report directly to the Head of Credit Desk and may have opportunities to gain exposure to other desks, subject to business needs and the individual's interests and development objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the day-to-day operations and administrative activities of the Hong Kong Credit Desk.
- Assist with market, industry and product research relating to credit markets and fixed income investments.
- Support the analysis of potential investment opportunities targeting Hong Kong and Mainland China clients.
- Assist in the preparation of presentations, reports, marketing materials and other supporting documentation.
- Monitor market developments, economic trends and relevant industry news.
- Maintain internal records, databases and documentation as required.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to support business initiatives and projects.
- Undertake other duties and projects as assigned by the Head of Credit Desk.
Qualifications and Experience
- Undergraduate or postgraduate student pursuing a degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, Mathematics or a related discipline.
- Strong interest in credit markets, fixed income products and investment management.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluent in English required. Chinese language skills would be an advantage.
