Travel Medical Assistant
Bring preventive care directly to patients across Washington in a field-based Medical Assistant role built around meaningful, unrushed home visits instead of a traditional exam-room schedule. In this role, you will help seniors, families, and children access Annual Wellness Visits, Medicare wellness visits, and Well-Child Visits from the comfort of their homes while earning $31/hour, paid travel time, and mileage reimbursement.
Opportunity
This is a full-time, weekday Medical Assistant role for someone who enjoys patient-focused work, independence, and being out in the community. You will travel to patient homes throughout Washington based on coverage needs, complete wellness-focused visits, and document care using modern EMR tools.

What You Will Own
Home-Based Preventive Care Visits
- Travel to patients’ homes throughout Washington for scheduled wellness visits.
- Complete Annual Wellness Visits, Medicare wellness visits, and Well-Child Visits.
- Focus on preventive care, health maintenance, and early identification of patient needs rather than urgent care.
- Support seniors, families, and children in a comfortable home-based setting.
Patient Relationships and Visit Flow
- Create a calm, respectful, patient-centered visit experience.
- Gather relevant patient information and support wellness-focused assessments.
- Build meaningful relationships through unrushed, one-on-one visits.
- Work independently in the field while staying aligned with clinical documentation and care standards.
EMR Documentation
- Document patient visits using modern EMR tools.
- Record visit information accurately and timely after home-based encounters.
- Support a smooth preventive care workflow through complete clinical charting.
What Makes You a Strong Fit
- 1+ year of Medical Assistant experience.
- Medical Assistant credential, certification, diploma, or equivalent qualification.
- Hands-on clinical Medical Assistant experience.
- Comfort traveling daily to patient homes.
- Reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license.
- Openness to travel throughout Washington as patient needs and coverage areas change.
- Interest in preventive care, community-based care, and meaningful patient relationships.
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience conducting Annual Wellness Visits.
- Experience conducting Medicare wellness visits.
- Experience conducting Well-Child Visits.
- Prior home visit, mobile care, field-based care, or community health experience.
- Experience documenting patient visits in an EMR or EHR.
Schedule, Location, and Travel
- Full-time schedule.
- Monday through Friday.
- 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
- Field-based role traveling to patient homes.
- Home visits may be assigned throughout Washington based on patient needs.
- Travel may extend across different regions of Washington based on coverage needs.
- Candidates should be comfortable with changing field territories within the state.
Compensation
The expected total compensation range is USD 31 Hourly.
