Overview
We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Tester / QA Engineer to join our team. You will support projects involving the onboarding of strategic partners and the delivery of insurance products and services through digital channels.
The role involves testing digital touchpoints and system implementations for partners, with a strong focus on end-to-end system integration, business requirements, functional testing, and defect management. You will work closely with Business Analysts (BAs), business users, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure comprehensive test coverage and smooth system implementation for successful partnership launches.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with Business Analysts and business users to understand and clarify business requirements.
- Develop comprehensive test scenarios, test cases, and test data based on business and functional requirements.
- Execute manual test cases according to assigned priorities and testing schedules.
- Conduct functional, integration, and end-to-end testing across relevant systems.
- Document test results and maintain accurate testing records for verification and audit purposes.
- Identify, log, track, and manage defects discovered during test execution.
- Provide developers with clear details and clarification on reported defects.
- Track and report overall testing progress and defect resolution status.
- Perform initial investigation and validation of defects against business requirements.
- Re-test resolved defects to verify fixes and ensure proper closure.
- Support the Test Manager in monitoring testing activities, progress, and defect resolution.
- Develop and execute automated test scripts where applicable.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) planning and execution, including both manual and automated testing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure testing activities are completed within project timelines.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience in software testing / QA, preferably within the insurance industry or insurance-related applications.
- Hands-on experience in manual testing, functional testing, system integration testing, and end-to-end testing.
- Experience creating test scenarios, test cases, test data, and documenting test results.
- Familiarity with defect tracking, investigation, re-testing, and closure.
- Experience with test automation would be an advantage.
- Familiar with Microsoft 365, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint.
- Strong technical writing and documentation skills.
- Good communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Able to work effectively under pressure and manage tight deadlines.
- Proactive, responsible, hardworking, and a strong team player.
