JOB TITLE: Data Manager - Rectification
SALARY: £67,000 - £74,400
LOCATIONS: Belfast, Birmingham, Bristol, Chester, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Hove, Leeds, Manchester, Halifax or Newport
HOURS: Full-time
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites

The team plays a vital role in sourcing, analysing and developing data using SQL/SAS to accurately and efficiently identify customers affected by problems and calculating any refunds required in line with procedures and controls. We’re always learning and sharing our knowledge through each project and look for ways to standardise re-usable activities.
We aim to make processes straight forward and are empowered to challenge thinking and behaviours to enable the business to adapt and evolve, addressing real customer problems when it matters.
While this is a Data Manager role, it's focused on leading complex rectification projects and driving outcomes rather than people management. You'll work across teams to shape solutions, influence decisions and deliver customer impact,

Your accountabilities will include :
- Leading (and undertaking) the data analysis for the rectification, reporting progress, risks and issues at key forums. You may also plan and prioritise work across a small portfolio of rectifications
- Using advanced data techniques to identify and calculate the customer impact of rectifications.
- Providing insightful information and advice to guide business decisions
- Driving continuous improvement of processes, tools and techniques and inputting into the future approach of the customer rectification journey
- Mentoring more junior analysts to improve their capabilities, you may also manage a small team of junior analysts.
What you'll need:
- Advanced coding using at least one of SQL and SAS
- Coaching and mentoring others
- Using written and verbal communications skills to present complex data issues to non-technical audiences
- Understanding of approaches to ensure high quality and reliable outputs
- Working collaboratively with non-technical colleagues to understand customer problems and defining data solutions
And any experience of these would be really useful:
- Integrating and analysing data from multiple sources to solve complex business problems
- Python for data analysis, automation or process improvement
- Working with BigQuery and data platforms within Google Cloud
- Using AI-powered tools to accelerate development and improve efficiency
