About the Role

SAIGroup is looking for an Engineering leader for one of its portfolio companies to drive the architecture, design, and engineering of next-generation Agentic AI solutions for healthcare/medical imaging. The ideal candidate will combine deep expertise in Agentic AI architecture and platform design with strong healthcare domain experience. The individual will be responsible for defining the technology vision, building scalable AI platforms and applications, leading engineering teams, and representing the organization's technology capabilities with customers, partners, and senior stakeholders. This is an opportunity for a builder and technology leader who has experience taking complex AI solutions from architecture and concept through production at scale.

 

Key Responsibilities

1. Agentic AI Architecture & Technology Leadership

• Define and own the architecture and technical strategy for Agentic AI platforms and applications.
• Design scalable, secure, reliable, and production-ready agentic AI architectures.
• Drive the design of AI agents, multi-agent systems, orchestration frameworks, tool integration, memory, reasoning, and workflow automation.
• Evaluate emerging Agentic AI technologies, frameworks, models, and architectural patterns and translate them into practical healthcare applications.
• Establish engineering and architectural standards for AI/ML products and platforms.

 

1. Healthcare AI & Clinical Technology

• Lead the development of AI platforms & applications addressing complex healthcare and clinical use cases.
• Apply knowledge of healthcare workflows, clinical data, healthcare interoperability, and regulatory considerations to technology architecture.
• Partner with product and clinical stakeholders to translate healthcare problems into scalable technology solutions.
• Experience with medical/clinical imaging, radiology, or imaging workflows will be an added advantage.

 

1. Engineering & Product Delivery

• Lead the end-to-end engineering lifecycle from architecture and design through development, deployment, and production scale.
• Ensure solutions are scalable, resilient, secure, observable, and commercially viable.
• Establish strong engineering practices around quality, testing, CI/CD, MLOps/LLMOps, monitoring, and production reliability.
• Work closely with Product, AI/ML, Clinical, and Business leadership to ensure successful delivery of strategic initiatives.

 

1. People Leadership

• Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing team of AI, software, and platform engineers.
• Develop technical leadership within the organization and create a culture of ownership, innovation, and engineering excellence.
• Attract and retain high-calibre engineering and AI talent.
• Provide technical mentorship and establish clear career-growth paths for engineering teams.

 

1. Executive Leadership & Stakeholder Management

• Operate with High level of ownership and executive presence.
• Partner closely with senior leadership to define and execute the organization's AI and technology strategy.
• Represent the company's technology capabilities in discussions with customers, strategic partners, investors, and industry stakeholders.
• Build the organization's technology reputation and thought leadership in Agentic AI and healthcare AI.

 Key Hiring Priorities

The ideal candidate will bring:

• 10+ years of overall technology/engineering experience.
• 2 to 3+ years of meaningful experience in Agentic AI, with strong hands-on exposure to architecture and design.
• Proven expertise in Agentic AI architecture, platform design, and implementation.
• Good experience in the Healthcare domain is mandatory.
• Strong engineering leadership and people management experience.
• Demonstrated ability to operate at leadership level scope and accountability.
• Strong executive communication, stakeholder management, and external presence.
• Experience in Medical Imaging, Clinical Imaging, Radiology, or healthcare imaging workflows is highly desirable.
• Strong builder mentality with the ability to move between strategic architecture and hands-on technical problem solving.

We are particularly interested in candidates who have worked in start-up or high-growth environments, including:

• Founders / CTOs of AI, Healthcare AI, or DeepTech start-ups.
• Young CTOs / Engineering leaders who have built AI products and platforms.
• Engineering leaders who have taken AI products from 0-to-1 and subsequently scaled them.
• Founders/Co-founders whose ventures are winding down or undergoing transition due to funding or business circumstances, but who possess strong relevant technology expertise and leadership capabilities.
