Position Title: Risk Control Partner

 

Role Description:

We are looking for a Risk Control Partner to join First Line In Control Team (FLIC). As a Risk Control Partner within COO W&R you support the W&R Tribes and Service Centre. You will assist and advise different domains to ensure they adopt and implement the Risk Control Framework (RCF).

The role of Risk Control Partner will be on a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract of Employment.

Within this framework, the 1st line is responsible for dynamic risk management and risk-based decision-making. You will act as a key risk partner to these teams. You will demonstrate an enthusiasm for facilitating the incorporation of all aspects of RCF into the day-to-day activities.

Hours of Work:  Hybrid Working - 8am to 4.15pm or 9am to 5.15pm, this is a Dublin based role that requires working from our Rabobank office at 76 Sir John Rogerson’s Quay, Dublin 2.

Main Tasks:

In this role, you will:

Focus on preparing and taking care of the Risk & Control processes for themes such as Privacy, Fraud and Compliance. You will achieve this by, among other things:

  • Being actively involved in implementing and monitoring the risks and controls activities based on internal or external regulations thereby also create awareness and stimulating ownership

  • Pro-actively supporting the different domains (Service Centre & Tribes) in actively managing the risks and controls and performing risk identification, risk assessment and defining mitigation activities. Thereby executing the annual control cycle including validation of performed controls and follow up of the proposed actions

  • Enter into a dialog, challenge and collaborate with stakeholders such as control and process owners

  • Continuous improvement of yourself and the team, by making proposals, creating awareness and implementing improvements

  • Challenge control and process owners

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of quality

Technical requirements of the role:

Customer focus, collaboration, result orientation, focus and an ability to influence / challenge the status quo are essential for the success of a Risk Control Partner. Do you recognize yourself in these qualities? 

You have a Bachelor’s degree or higher and/or a minimum of 2/3 years’ experience in Financial Services Industry, Risk / Control Management & Compliance,  Business or Economics;

  • An understanding of Risk Management within the financial services industry and related global regulatory standards

  • An understanding of banking and finance operations

  • A knowledge of causes, influences and drivers of operational risk

  • Clear written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience dealing with senior stakeholders

  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)

  • Analytically strong and focus on improvements with a focus on delivering quality

  • Result-oriented who likes to work in a team
