Position Summary You will join our Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) team in France as an alternant (apprentice). You will support day-to-day EHS activities at a manufacturing site and work closely with EHS colleagues, operations, engineering and contractors. We value practical problem solving, clear communication and a collaborative mindset. This role gives hands-on experience, visible impact and clear opportunities to grow while helping GSK unite science, technology and talent to get ahead of disease together. This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following: - Support and carry out site EHS inspections and workplace checks to confirm compliance with legal and company standards. - Help complete risk assessments and propose practical control measures for routine tasks and equipment. - Assist with incident investigations and root cause analysis, and track corrective actions to closure. - Collect, compile and present EHS performance data and simple dashboards to identify trends. - Help prepare and deliver EHS awareness sessions and training for site employees and contractors. - Support contractor safety management, site inductions and EHS administrative tasks. Responsibilities - Keep accurate, up-to-date EHS records and documentation. - Track corrective and preventive actions and support follow-up until closure. - Use common data tools to produce clear reports for site committees and managers. - Communicate clearly and respectfully with operations, engineering and contractors about EHS priorities. - Promote practical ergonomic and workplace safety measures with teams. - Help build an inclusive safety culture where everyone feels able to speak up. Why You? Work arrangement This role is full-time and on-site in France as part of an alternance (apprenticeship) agreement. You will work daily with the site EHS team, operations and contractors. Some local travel may be required. Basic Qualification We are seeking professionals with the following required skills and qualifications to help us achieve our goals - Enrolled in an approved alternance program (BTS, Licence Pro, Master, or equivalent) in Environmental Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, Occupational Health, Chemistry, or a related field. - Practical experience from internships, school projects or site work related to inspections, risk assessments or safety initiatives. - Comfortable working on-site daily — this role is on-site in France. - Good organisation and attention to detail. - Confident using Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, for data work and basic analysis. - Good written and spoken French. Basic English for reading technical documents is helpful. Preferred Qualification If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus - Prior experience with incident investigation and root cause analysis. - Familiarity with French workplace health and safety legal requirements. - Experience delivering or preparing EHS training and toolbox talks. - Exposure to contractor safety programs and site induction processes. - Basic skills with data visualisation tools (Power BI, Tableau) or experience producing dashboards. - Practical, hands-on approach and a collaborative attitude.
