Occupational Therapist (OT) Responsibilities
- Evaluate residents and develop individualized treatment plans based on functional goals and clinical needs
- Provide occupational therapy services to improve independence with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
- Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions and adaptive strategies
- Assess cognitive, physical, and functional abilities to maximize patient outcomes
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members
- Educate residents, families, and caregivers regarding treatment plans, progress, and home exercise programs
- Participate in care planning meetings and interdisciplinary conferences
- Recommend adaptive equipment, durable medical equipment, and environmental modifications as appropriate
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with facility, state, and federal regulations
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans to achieve optimal outcomes
Qualifications
- Current California Occupational Therapist (OT) License required
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
- Strong clinical assessment, treatment planning, and documentation skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
- Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Experience in Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF), Post-Acute Care, Rehabilitation, Long-Term Care, or Acute Care settings preferred
