Description
IQVIA delivers a suite of services to help healthcare stakeholders access and apply real-world evidence for decisions at every stage of the product life cycle. The Real World Solutions team is focused on providing innovative solutions for Market Access, HEOR, medical, and scientific teams.
Responsibilities:
Support the delivery of a wide range of client projects in the pharmaceutical and medical device space in Canada, including: market access projects, retrospective database studies, business strategy, health economic analyses, patient journeys, access metrics, and other varied and exciting engagements.
Contribute to study design and methodology development; Develop innovative approaches, frameworks and solutions to client problems.
Assist in the preparation of study protocols and draft reports, and analyze and interpret qualitative and quantitative ‘real-world’ data for deliverables.
Prepare presentations, abstracts and manuscripts relating to projects including for presentation at scientific conferences and submission to scientific journals
Conduct primary and secondary research
Conduct workshops and moderate discussions and present results to external clients
Assist with overall project management and client management
Produce initial drafts of proposals based on client RFPs and supporting information
Experience and necessary skills:
2 years’ experience undertaking database or health outcomes research, or in the pharmaceutical industry in a relevant area such as business analytics, marketing, market access, epidemiology, pharmacovigilance, outcomes research, health economics, RWE/RWD or biostatistics
PhD/Masters/MBA in relevant health sciences field
Healthcare Consultancy, Pharmaceutical or other Healthcare Industry, Academic or Governmental Research Organization, Health Services Research setting
Technical skills and Knowledge (Assets)
Good understanding of the pharmaceutical reimbursement process in Canada is a plus
Conducting analyses in databases and/or registries
Good understanding of outcomes research theory, and practical knowledge of research project implementation
Competency in using MS tools (Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
Experience in programming Visual Basic for Applications within Excel is a plus
Experience with statistical software (SAS, SPSS, R) is a plus
You will be required to work directly with IQVIA departments, teams, support functions and stakeholders located across Canada and around the world therefore, a functional knowledge of English, both written and spoken, is necessary to perform the duties of this position.
