Job Description

Role: Talent Advisor: Analytics and Insights

Location: United States (Chicago office or remote location)

**Temp to Perm role: 6 months fixed term contract with the possibility of conversion into a permanent role.**

As the Talent Advisor for Analytics and Insights, you will help build a data-informed culture that enables operational insights, gains efficiencies, creates optimization scale, and fosters an energized employee experience, focusing first on our Global Talent and Operations functions. You will analyze our operational data to establish business metrics, identify trends, test hypotheses, and develop actionable insights. This crucial role collaborates with all professional levels in Talent, Finance, Commercial Operations, and the Executive Office.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business analytics, a keenness in identifying trends, a passion for developing compelling narratives, and a curiosity in correlating data insights to accelerate operational transformation.

It’s important to us that we align on the application experience and expectations if you apply for this role. If selected for an interview, we’d ask that you be prepared to share a very brief example of your original work that highlights your capabilities for this role. We prefer the example to be a hypothetical scenario, not related to past or present employment experience, and prepared in the medium of your choice. Consider sharing one of the following: two slides, a short video, or a link to an existing online or app-based portfolio.

What You’ll Do

Short-Term Goals

  • Collaborate with HR and business leaders to define business questions, design system reports, and translate analytics into effective talent narratives.

  • Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and ethical handling of sensitive employee information.

  • Navigate multiple systems to collect, assess, and translate data and analytics requirements with business stakeholders into actionable projects/reports and drive through to completion.

  • Conduct ad hoc analysis to answer specific business questions and determine root cause of anomalies in our business trends.

  • Articulate and craft data visualisations that support meaningful business recommendations.

  • As an individual contributor, you’ll report directly to the SVP of Talent Operations.

Mid-Term Goals

  • Establish, organize, and implement Data Guidelines by collaborating with business leadership on unifying multiple data sources; bringing into alignment with a new ERP unified data model; and championing data quality by driving good hygiene practices with business teams.

  • Create data analysis best practice guides to consistently compare and report views that spot trends and illuminate operational performance.

  • Collaborate and prioritize with business leadership on KPI build requests and dashboard recommendations.

  • Develop AI roadmap for data aggregation, analysis, and visualisations.

  • Develop routine cadence of Global and Regional reports, dashboards, and ops reviews slides with Talent leadership.

  • Create presentations or other documentation for non-technical users to summarize key findings.

  • Monitor industry thought leadership, market trends, and competitor reporting.

What You’ll Bring

Required

  • 3+ years of progressive experience in research, data collection, analysis, and reporting of insights.

  • Sensitivity to data security and privacy protocols.

  • Excellent listening and questioning skills that demonstrate curiosity and drive to understand the business at deeper levels.

  • Project management skills to drive organization and prioritization of on-time deliverables.

  • Creativity in developing simple, impactive data visualizations.

  • Experience with Excel and G-Suite required.

  • Experience with Workday, comparable HRIS systems, or other ERP systems reporting preferred.

Preferred

  • Strong narrative and storytelling skills that start at the big picture / strategy level and focus on the “so what” of the analytics insights.

  • Experience in analyzing large datasets to develop insights with high attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Ability to recognize data misalignments and take corrective measures to support data source accuracy.

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within project teams and for ad hoc requests.

  • Experience with Talent / HR or Ad Tech data sets a bonus.

  • Experience with advanced analytics (machine learning, AI) and application to HR processes.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Statistics, Business Analytics, Human Resources, or a related field a bonus.
