Job Description
You will form part of the Mass Foundation Cluster which is one of the largest customer-facing business segments in Old Mutual. Our target market is the low and emerging-middle income segment.This role assists the Human Capital Team with various generalist HR responsibilities. It provides immediate response to administrative requirements in accordance with SLA parameters, in a processing environment. The incumbent is individually accountable for achieving results through own effort.
Follows standardised processes and provides administrative support in line with normal business functioning.
Assists with the analysis of HR data, and the supply of recommendations of HR interventions and improvements that will enhance people performance.
Supports HR Consultants, HR Business Partners in the implementation of organisational development, effectiveness and employee engagement initiatives when required.
Supports the implementation of change initiatives when required.
Assists with implementing people plan initiatives and HR processes in your respective client areas.
Delivers with discipline the HR Calendar in client areas according to agreed timelines.
Adheres to HR controls and protocols.
Requirements:
Human Resources & Industrial Psychology Degree.
Relevant HR certifications or short courses (advantageous but not essential).
Basic understanding of HR principles, labor laws, and people practices.
Familiarity with HR processes like onboarding and employee relations (preferred).
Experience with HR software or systems (advantageous).
Availability to commit to the duration of the internship.
Own transportation or reliable commuting options.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism.
