Job Purpose / Summary
This position administers effective front-line customer service to Three Square Program Partner sites as a Coordinator of Childhood Nutrition Programs, including, but not limited to, Backpack for Kids and Mobile Distributions. This position is responsible for communicating with, supporting, and developing new and existing program sites to further our combined mission of ending hunger in our community, and is responsible for outreach, training, advocacy, compliance monitoring, and delivering consistent and essential support to program partners and sites.
Essential Job Functions
The following duties are considered essential functions of this position. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned Backpack for Kids and Mobile Distribution partners through phone, email, virtual meetings, and site visits.
- Communicate program guidelines, schedules, ordering procedures, distribution expectations, food safety requirements, and reporting deadlines.
- Coordinate partner onboarding, applications, distribution calendars, site readiness, and ongoing technical assistance.
- Respond to partner questions and operational concerns, identify practical solutions, confirm resolution, and escalate significant or recurring issues.
- Conduct site visits to monitor compliance with program procedures, agreements, food safety standards, recordkeeping requirements, and approved distribution practices, documenting findings and following up on corrective actions.
- Conduct outreach to schools, community organizations, and prospective partners to expand childhood nutrition resources in underserved areas.
- Collect, maintain, and report accurate program and participation data for internal, grant, audit, and other reporting needs.
- Maintain required job knowledge and professional competencies by participating in training, educational programs, and staff meetings.
- Safeguard confidential partner, participant, and organizational information.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Education & Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university preferred.
- Two years of previous experience in the nonprofit sector preferred.
- Experience interacting with children of diverse backgrounds required.
- Familiarity with a customer service environment required.

- Distance vision is required to drive an automobile if driving is a requirement of the job
Work Environment
- Work is performed indoors in a climate-controlled office environment.
- Moderate noise levels as found in a business office with computer printers, households with TVs, kitchen appliances, and driving in light traffic.
- Occasionally exposed to outdoor weather conditions when traveling between buildings or attending off-site meetings and events.
- May occasionally enter warehouse areas, with brief exposure to temperature variation, dust, and elevated noise levels from motorized equipment.
