Heartline Staffing is recruiting a Structural Engineer for an onsite opportunity in East York, Pennsylvania. This position combines structural engineering design, project coordination, client interaction, construction administration and project leadership while providing mentorship and oversight to project staff.
The Structural Engineer will develop projects from schematic through final design, coordinate with clients and in-house disciplines, oversee technical documentation, manage project budgets and schedules, and support projects through construction administration and field observation.
COMPENSATION
• $81,000-$110,000

STRUCTURAL DESIGN & ENGINEERING
• Develop structural designs through all project phases
• Develop schematic and final designs
• Design building materials and systems
• Prepare studies, reports and construction documents
• Perform IBC code reviews and establish design criteria
• Review shop drawings and prepare reports
• Prepare AIA Masterspec documents and estimates
• Recommend new technologies and improvements
PROJECT & CLIENT COORDINATION
• Work across multiple project teams to successfully complete projects
• Interface directly with clients
• Coordinate with architects, engineers and contractors
• Coordinate with internal disciplines including MEP
• Oversee drawing production, specifications and project documentation
• Manage project budgets and schedules
• Handle multiple simultaneous projects
• Collaborate with leadership on organizational goals
• Support alignment with project expectations and organizational objectives
CONSTRUCTION ADMINISTRATION & FIELD WORK
• Conduct field surveys and site evaluations
• Perform construction administration
• Respond to and coordinate RFIs
• Review submittals
• Conduct inspections and field observations
LEADERSHIP & MENTORING
• Lead design efforts across assigned projects
• Mentor project team members
• Oversee the daily workflow of project staff
• Provide technical and project leadership to support successful delivery

Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering REQUIRED
• 4-6 years of structural engineering experience REQUIRED
• Professional Engineer (PE) license REQUIRED
• Revit experience REQUIRED
• Experience with design, documentation and project management tools REQUIRED
• Deep knowledge of engineering principles REQUIRED
• Strong verbal and written communication skills REQUIRED
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail REQUIRED
• Strong time-management and problem-solving skills REQUIRED
• Technical writing proficiency REQUIRED
• Leadership and supervisory skills REQUIRED
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office REQUIRED
• Ability to conduct site visits and field observations REQUIRED
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position, including lifting up to 15 pounds REQUIRED
