What is the opportunity?
You will be a Financial Crime Advisory Manager, providing expert AML and financial crime compliance support. You will act as Deputy Money Laundering Reporting Officer (DMLRO) as required, leading compliance initiatives and maintaining our robust financial crime controls framework.
This is a permanent, full-time role with 4 days in the office - perfect for someone who thrives in a flexible, relationship-driven environment.
What will you do?
- Act as Deputy Money Laundering Reporting Officer (DMLRO) and provide ongoing support to the MLCO and MLROs in monitoring compliance with AML and CTF legislation in Jersey
- Monitor the effectiveness of outsourced AML activity and support investigations related to suspicious activity or ad hoc requests
- Support the MLROs in drafting board and management reports for review by Head of AML CI, and collaborate with AML team members to maintain efficient onboarding processes
- Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for businesses regarding AML queries and requests, providing sound, clear and practical advice
- Support the maintenance of AML local policies, procedures, and risk assessments; work with businesses to ensure AML controls are recorded and maintained
- Collaborate with CI AML team members on second line controls and oversight, and with other compliance colleagues to drive continuous improvement of processes
- Escalate issues appropriately to senior management, Head of AML CI, or Head of AML Europe & Asia as required
- Keep abreast of regulatory and legislative changes through attending lectures, seminars and training courses, and support enterprise-wide compliance initiatives
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- Extensive experience in AML compliance, including assessment of financial crime factors and ability to draft and deliver training
- Demonstrable background in the Jersey AML regulatory framework with robust knowledge of applicable laws and regulations
- Proven ability to work with limited direct supervision, demonstrate initiative, and support effective cross-unit cooperation and information sharing
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to generate concise, analytical reports
- Sound working knowledge of Company IT systems and Microsoft Office Products
Nice-to-have
- Degree qualification ideally with a numerical focus (e.g., business)
- Recognised relevant professional qualification (e.g., CAMS, Diploma in AML)
- Strategic and analytical mindset with experience in financial crime risk assessment and compliance programme design
