Mail Order Packer - Seasonal

Packed with Aloha! Big Island Candies' delicious products are made with Aloha from the finest, highest quality ingredients. And when it's time to send these products to customers all over the world, we pack each shipment with Aloha too! We are seeking a detail-oriented Mail Order Packer (Seasonal) to assist in the daily operations of our Mail Order Packing department.

Essential duties include:

• Pull, pack, seal and process order(s) for outgoing shipment, with the utmost professional care;
• Meet shipping deadlines on a daily basis in accordance with Big Island Candies' Quality standards;
• Learn the day-to-day operations of the Mail Order Department and be willing and able to assist with other departmental duties as assigned.

 

Skills, qualifications and attributes include:

• Be customer service oriented;
• Possess a strong attention to detail;
• Use a variety of tools, supplies and equipment as it relates for the function of the job, and may be assigned to data entry on shipping computer system;
• Work well independently as well as part of a team to meet operational goals;
• Must be able to read, write and speak English;
• Possess basic math skills.

Physical requirements include:

• Must be able to stand for the entire work shift;
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. periodically throughout the day;

Working Hours:

• Monday - Friday: First Shift: 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 pm. Second Shift: 10:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. Weekends: 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (primarily Sundays).  Seasonal Position available from mid-November thru December and starts off as a Part-Time schedule with hours increasing in month of December.  Perfect for someone looking for a short-term/temporary position for the holidays.
• Extended hours may be required during peak seasons (November and December) to meet deadlines or due to operational needs.
