Job Summary and Responsibilities
Circet USA is a premier technology infrastructure design, build, and maintain partner. The Director of Preconstruction leads planning, estimating, cost modeling, constructability reviews, and project readiness activities for data center network infrastructure projects. This role partners with Sales, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Construction teams to ensure projects are accurately scoped, budgeted, risk-assessed, and prepared for successful execution.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following; other duties may be assigned:
- Lead preconstruction activities from opportunity through construction handoff.
- Develop and manage project estimates, budgets, schedules, and execution plans.
- Drive constructability reviews, value engineering, and risk assessments.
- Partner with Engineering and Supply Chain teams to align solutions with cost and schedule objectives.
- Establish preconstruction standards, processes, and performance metrics.
- Build and lead a high-performing team inclusive of both estimators and BIM lead.
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field; relevant experience can be substituted for degree.
- 10+ years of experience in data center, telecommunications, network infrastructure, or mission-critical construction.
- 5+ years of leadership experience in preconstruction, estimating, or project delivery.
- Strong knowledge of estimating, scheduling, procurement, and risk management.
- Working knowledge of BIM or similar design software
- Strong knowledge of Accubid or similar estimating software
- OSHA 30 (can be acquired post-hire if necessary)
- Ability to travel - anticipated travel of 25-50% based on need to include project visits and client facing engagements
