About the role:

• Naviva® a Four Seasons Resort , is looking for an Engineering Manager who oversees a team of Engineering, Gardeners and Maintenance specialists responsible for all engineering operations for interior and exterior facilities, including plumbing, refrigeration, heating/cooling, painting, carpentry, structural, recycling, electrical, ground care, landscaping and parking areas.
• The role also involves managing additional engineering work necessary to maintain the property in an efficient condition, ensuring the safety and comfort of guests and employees.
• The Engineering Manager is responsible for Life/Fire safety systems, energy and sustainability initiatives, and overall facility management. In addition, this role serves as a project lead, coordinating and overseeing property-related projects to ensure all initiatives are completed efficiently and within established timelines.

What you bring

• Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• High attention to detail, with a commitment to safety, service excellence, and continuous improvement.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage resources, and solve problems efficiently in a fast‑paced resort environment.
• 5+ years of engineering experience in a luxury hotel or resort, with at least 2 years in a supervisory/managerial role.
• Flexible work hours to include weekends and holidays to meet the demands of a 24 hour operation

What You Will Do:

• Manage and supervise the daily activities of the engineering and maintenance team, ensuring all tasks are completed promptly and professionally.
• Conduct regular inspections of all areas of the property to ensure systems are operating efficiently and safely.
• Oversee preventive maintenance programs for guest rooms, public areas, kitchens, pools, and all critical systems (HVAC, MEP, etc.).
• Ensure compliance with local health, safety, fire life safety, and building codes.
• Respond swiftly to guest requests, maintenance issues, and emergency situations, minimizing downtime and service interruptions.
• Manage department budgets, monitor energy consumption, and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality.
• Train, motivate, and develop the engineering team to uphold Four Seasons standards.
• Support pre-opening setup including equipment installation, system testing, and operational readiness.
• Responsible for overseeing the staffing, maintenance, preservation, and optimal condition of the Naviva´s gardens, landscaped areas, irrigation systems, and gardening equipment.
• Ensures preventive and corrective maintenance programs are implemented to maintain high aesthetic, safety, and operational standards, while maximizing the efficiency and useful life of all landscaping assets and machinery.
