About you:
We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer who is passionate about building high-quality software and solving complex technical challenges. This is a hands-on technical leadership role where you'll spend most of your time designing, developing, and delivering production software while influencing architecture, engineering standards, and technical direction.
You'll join a collaborative team consisting of a Tech Lead, four engineers, and Product partners, with quality fully owned by engineering. As a senior member of the team, you'll mentor engineers, drive technical excellence, and be the go-to expert for complex design and implementation decisions.
Part of Access Hospitality's F&B Software portfolio, you'll help power millions of guest experiences every day across a suite of hospitality technology products used globally.
AI-enabled development is a core expectation of this role. We are looking for engineers who actively leverage AI tools to accelerate delivery, improve quality, and continuously enhance team effectiveness.
Day-to-day, you will:
Design, build, and deliver high-quality software across backend services, frontend applications, APIs, and integrations, with ownership of reliability, performance, security, and quality in production.
Lead technical decision-making by driving architecture, engineering standards, code quality, CI/CD practices, observability, and incident resolution within the team.
Mentor and develop engineers through code reviews, technical guidance, knowledge sharing, and collaborative problem-solving, helping raise the overall capability of the team.
Champion modern engineering practices, including AI-augmented development, while proactively addressing technical debt and contributing to hiring and technical talent assessment.
Key Performance Indicators:
Deliver reliable, secure, and high-performing software that consistently meets production availability, performance, and quality standards.
Drive engineering excellence by improving delivery speed, increasing deployment frequency, reducing incidents, and ensuring rapid resolution when issues occur.
Lead by example through high-quality code reviews, technical mentorship, and knowledge sharing that visibly strengthens the capability of the team.
Champion AI-driven development and continuous improvement, promoting modern engineering practices while preventing recurring defects and operational issues.
Your skills and experiences might also include:
Strong full-stack software engineering experience with a proven track record of designing, building, and owning production systems across backend, frontend, APIs, and cloud environments.
Passion for modern engineering practices, including clean code, automated testing, CI/CD, architecture design, security-by-design, and continuous improvement.
AI-first mindset, with hands-on experience using AI-powered development tools to accelerate delivery, improve quality, and enhance team productivity across the software development lifecycle.
Experience with modern technology stacks such as .NET/C#, TypeScript/React, Java, Azure, AWS, SQL, containers, and cloud-native architectures, with the ability to quickly learn new technologies.
