Your new role
Tribe Insurance is looking for a Performance Management & Data Expert. In this role, you will actively contribute to translating our “Together for Progress” strategy into actionable insights for Customer Journey Experts, Financial Experts, Sales Teams and Product Development teams, marking a new chapter in our strategic journey “Banking Made Simple.”
Driven by your passion for performance management and data & reporting (financials, commercial and salesflow reporting), you will support the successful implementation of our Insurance and customer strategy across sales network. You’ll do this through thorough analysis & actionable conclusive presentations, based on factual reporting with actionable insights, proactive in-depth analysis, and strategic advice. For the reporting, you will as well support, guide and act as back-up of a junior data analyst.
You excel at delivering impactful presentations, transforming complex analyses into clear, actionable insights and recommendations for Executive Management. You have a strong ability to translate business challenges into analytical questions and can effectively guide junior colleagues in developing analyses and reports using SAS, SQL, and Power BI.
As a proactive and collaborative team player, you build strong partnerships across teams, take ownership of your projects, and thrive in a dynamic environment. You are also happy to spend 50% of your time working from our newly renovated Marnix office in Brussels.
A day in the life of a Performance Management & Data Expert:
You will focus on:
Reviewing and commenting on monthly and weekly commercial reports, financial reports and costs consumption reports, for the Tribe Insurance as well as for the executive management
Performing deep-dive analysis on specific subjects allowing to support the growth of Insurance results
Acting as gate keeper for ensuring the tribe costs remain within the agreed budget
Acting as Single Point of Contact towards Finance team regarding insurance results
Performing financial and commercial forecasts for the coming years insurance results (based on projects quantification among others), including:
commercial simulations (sales, volumes,…)
detailed quantification of all the insurance tribes initiatives (i.e. support the Customer Journey expert for Business Case creation and quantification of the benefits of each initiative, then consolidate all results for performing the forecasts of insurance results).
Ensure your simulations tools can be used by other stakeholders within the Tribe
Supporting and coaching a junior data analyst, and act as back-up for performing some reports using:
SAS base, SQL and Power BI among other tools
Internal and external data in different formats and from different data environments

Together with the team, you take responsibility for maximizing the efficiency and continuous availability of data and performance reports related to all ambitions.
Furthermore you bring:
Master’s degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Business Administration, Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering or a related field - or have 5+ years of equivalent experience
5+ years relevant experience as a data analyst, financial analyst or performance management specialist
3+ years experience in Insurance sector and are mastering all insurance performance KPI's
Fluent in English and either Dutch or French, and have current residency in Belgium
Strong experience in SQL and SAS as well as Excel
Actuarial background in the context of insurance pricing is a plus
