What you'll be doing
The Talent Acquisition team plays an important role in helping us attract, engage, and hire the talent that will shape CIBC’s future. As an Early Talent Programs Senior Specialist, you’ll lead the planning and execution of early talent programs that support recruitment, onboarding, development activities, and intern programming for students and early career talent. You’ll coordinate campus recruitment events, career fairs, and information sessions while partnering closely with recruiters, hiring managers, and internal stakeholders to align program activity with hiring needs. You’ll also manage the early talent employee referrals program and lead the delivery of summer intern programming, including orientation, senior leadership sessions, workshops, social events, and end-of-term programming. In this role, you’ll build strong relationships with student interns and stakeholders across the bank, including senior leaders, while also partnering with university career centers, faculty, and student organizations to strengthen CIBC’s presence on campus. You’ll support candidates throughout the recruitment and onboarding journey, develop marketing and outreach materials, and track program results to help inform future strategy and continuous improvement.
At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You'll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you'll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote. Seasonal travel (local and regional) is required for this position.

Relationship Building - Build strong, trusted relationships with student interns and stakeholders across the bank, including senior leaders, to deliver a connected and meaningful early talent experience.
Stakeholder Partnership - Collaborate with recruiters, hiring managers, Learning and Development, and cross-functional partners to understand workforce needs, align priorities, and deliver program activities that support business goals.
External Relationship Building - Build and maintain strong partnerships with university career centers, faculty, and student organizations to support outreach efforts and strengthen CIBC’s employer brand.
Reporting and Operational Support - Track and report on key metrics such as candidate pipeline activity, event attendance, program participation, and hiring outcomes while supporting interview scheduling, communications, and program records.
