Job Title: Physical Therapist
Location: Yuma, Arizona
Schedule: Full-Time | Day Shift | 8- or 10-Hour Shifts
Pay Range: $49.40–$74.09 per hour
Sign-On Bonus: $5,000 with a one-year commitment or $10,000 with a two-year commitment
Relocation Assistance: $2,500 with a one-year commitment or $5,000 with a two-year commitment
Housing Assistance: Up to 3 months of fully furnished housing may be available

Job Overview
A leading healthcare organization is seeking Physical Therapists to join its Rehabilitation team in Yuma, Arizona.
The Physical Therapist will evaluate patients, develop individualized plans of care, provide skilled therapeutic interventions, and help patients improve mobility, function, strength, and independence. This role works closely with physicians, nurses, rehabilitation professionals, patients, and families to provide coordinated and evidence-based care.
This is an excellent opportunity for a licensed Physical Therapist seeking a hospital-based rehabilitation position with strong sign-on, relocation, and housing support.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients' functional abilities, mobility limitations, strength, balance, and rehabilitation needs
- Determine whether skilled Physical Therapy intervention is appropriate
- Develop individualized plans of care and measurable treatment goals
- Identify and prioritize factors limiting patient function and independence
- Collaborate with patients and caregivers when developing treatment goals
- Provide skilled Physical Therapy interventions based on each patient's diagnosis and functional needs
- Modify treatment plans based on patient progress and clinical response
- Educate patients and caregivers regarding mobility, exercises, safety, equipment, and discharge recommendations
- Initiate and participate in discharge planning
- Communicate evaluation findings, treatment outcomes, and patient progress to physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members
- Recommend modifications to physician orders when clinically appropriate
- Maintain timely, accurate, and evidence-based clinical documentation
- Reassess treatment goals and patient progress according to department standards
- Adapt to changes in caseload, scheduling, and staffing needs
- Assist with patient care in other rehabilitation areas when needed
- Supervise and appropriately delegate responsibilities to Physical Therapist Assistants, therapy technicians, students, and other support personnel
- Participate in orientation and training of new rehabilitation staff
- Ensure delegated personnel demonstrate appropriate competency before performing assigned tasks
- Participate in departmental meetings, quality-improvement initiatives, and operational activities
- Meet established productivity and documentation standards
- Collaborate with physician offices, community providers, healthcare organizations, and other external resources to coordinate patient care
Qualifications
Required
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program or equivalent
- Current Arizona Physical Therapist license
- Current Basic Life Support certification
- Strong clinical assessment and treatment-planning skills
- Ability to independently evaluate patients and establish individualized plans of care
- Knowledge of evidence-based Physical Therapy treatment techniques
- Strong patient, family, and interdisciplinary communication skills
- Ability to provide age-appropriate and culturally sensitive care
- Strong documentation, organization, and time-management skills
- Ability to supervise and appropriately delegate care to rehabilitation support personnel
Preferred
- Doctor of Physical Therapy degree
- One or more years of Physical Therapist experience in a hospital setting
- Acute inpatient care experience
- Experience treating medically complex patients
- Experience supervising Physical Therapist Assistants, technicians, or rehabilitation students
Sign-On & Relocation Support
Qualified candidates may be eligible for:
- $5,000 sign-on bonus with a one-year employment commitment
- $10,000 sign-on bonus with a two-year employment commitment
- $2,500 relocation assistance with a one-year commitment
- $5,000 relocation assistance with a two-year commitment
- Up to three months of fully furnished housing, with one- or two-bedroom accommodations available based on program eligibility and availability
