Description
Among the Franciscan team, the Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist is responsible for operating specialized computerized x-ray equipment to produce cross-sectional images of the human anatomy. This aids radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals in diagnosing a wide variety of diseases and disorders. This position assists in training students and technologists, and performs injection procedures.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
- 7am-3:30pm Days
- Clean, maintain, and restock examination and inventory rooms.
- Collaborate on patient medical issues with the physician to determine protocol and procedure.
- Obtain the most optimal images for physician interpretation while processing and evaluating images according to policy and protocol.
- Obtain and record patient identification, medical history, or test results. Review and update patient documentation in EMR and PACS.
- Perform venous punctures using universal precautions while administering contrast media.
- Practice established safety guidelines, and utilize ALARA radiation reduction tools and techniques.
Qualifications
- Required Associate's Degree or Certificate Radiology
- Required Associate's Degree Nuclear Medicine
- Required Bachelor's Degree Nuclear Medicine
- 2 years Radiology Preferred
- Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association
- State License - . Indiana: Radiology or Nuclear Medicine
- Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) - NMTCB ( Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board) NMTCB(CT)
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification - .
- Computed Tomography (ARRT-CT) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
