WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The Tuberculosis Control (TB) Program provides screening, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of tuberculosis.  This is a multidisciplinary team that provides specialized, essential tuberculosis care to Montgomery County residents with active tuberculosis disease and tuberculosis infection. The program team looks forward to welcoming an individual who excels in a team environment, enjoys working with a diverse population, has strong communication and customer service skills, and has experience working with electronic health records and other electronic databases.

This position has oversight of the TB Program. The program is administered in accordance with the Code of Maryland Regulations (COMAR) and the Maryland Center of Tuberculosis Control and Prevention (CTBCP).  The TB Program manages all TB disease cases of individuals who reside in Montgomery County. The goal of the program is screening, early diagnosis, and treatment, and prevention of tuberculosis, and prevention of tuberculosis.

Experience: Five (5) years of progressively responsible professional experience managing a Tuberculosis Control and Prevention program or other communicable disease program, including contract and grant oversight.

Education: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s Degree. 

Equivalency: An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.  Note: Based upon legislative requirements, some positions may be subject to different minimum qualifications. 

License: Possession of a valid Class "C" (or equivalent) driver’s license from the applicant's state of residence

when required for job-related duties.
