We need someone with a genuine passion for working directly with clients, who thrives on collaborating with multiple internal teams, including production, marketing, operations, and content, to deliver complex, high-value event packages.

Rachael Clark, Head of Elite Client Management and Sponsorship Delivery

About the Team

You will join a nine-person Elite Client Management & Sponsorship Delivery team responsible for managing and delivering revenue-generating products across the MWC and M360 event portfolio. The team sits at the centre of client delivery, working closely with Sales, Heads of Events and specialist delivery functions to ensure clients receive a seamless, high-quality experience from planning through to onsite execution.

The team helps customers gain the greatest value from their investment by building long-term relationships, acting as trusted advisors and turning new sponsorship concepts into scalable, commercially viable programmes.

About the Role

As Sponsorship Delivery Manager, you will be the primary point of contact for a portfolio of sponsorship clients and a delivery expert across the GSMA events portfolio. You will own the end-to-end delivery experience for your clients, ensuring their sponsorship programmes are planned, coordinated and delivered to a world-class standard throughout the event cycle.

You will work closely with clients and Account Managers to understand objectives, translate contracted sponsorship packages into clear delivery plans and ensure clients maximise the value of their investment. You will also identify opportunities to enhance the client experience, support retention and contribute to continuous improvement across sponsorship delivery.

Working collaboratively with internal stakeholders, you will coordinate sponsorship deliverables, manage delivery risks, monitor progress against key milestones and support onsite execution. This role will see you be accountable for:

  • Act as the client’s trusted day-to-day point of contact, providing proactive, timely and appropriate communication throughout the delivery process.
  • Partner with Account Managers to understand each client’s objectives and ensure these are reflected in a clear, achievable delivery plan.
  • Coordinate sponsorship deliverables across Sales, Operations, Marketing, Social, Brand, Digital, PR, Content and Event Technology teams.
  • Define, agree and accurately track contractual deliverables through the appropriate systems, ensuring ownership and next steps are clear.
  • Drive delivery against agreed milestones, ensuring actions are assigned, progressed and completed on time by the relevant teams.
  • Proactively identify and resolve delivery issues, escalating where necessary to ensure a smooth client experience.
  • Secure client sign-off where required ahead of production deadlines and provide clear progress updates against key delivery milestones.
  • Provide weekly reporting on key project, operational and financial issues, risks and milestones to the Sponsorship Delivery Lead.

About You

  • Client leadership: Proven track record of managing high-value client relationships and delivering complex, high-profile experiences that meet client objectives.
  • Event delivery expertise: Knowledge of international event delivery, including the ability to apply industry trends, innovations and best practice to improve the client experience.
  • Project delivery: Exceptional project management ability, with experience identifying delivery risks, setting priorities and implementing effective mitigation plans.
  • Stakeholder communication: Strong presentation and reporting skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, use data to inform decisions and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Relationship building: Excellent interpersonal skills, with a natural ability to build trust, rapport and credibility with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Agility under pressure: Confident working in a fast-paced environment with multiple concurrent priorities, changing requirements and high client expectations.
  • Regional client readiness: Familiarity with WeChat and the ability to adapt client communications where appropriate, particularly when working with Mainland Chinese clients.
  • Systems capability: Proficiency in event management software, CRM platforms and Microsoft Office Suite, with strong attention to detail in tracking and reporting.

We strive to offer a meaningful and inclusive application experience for all candidates. Should you require any accommodations or adjustments due to a disability or for any other reason during the hiring process, please contact [email protected] with your request.
