At Cerro Flow Products, a Marmon Holdings company backed by Berkshire Hathaway, we’re exploring how artificial intelligence and emerging technologies can improve the way we work across our manufacturing operation.

We’re looking for curious, creative, and technology-minded interns who are excited to learn, experiment, and help turn ideas into practical solutions. This opportunity is ideal for students or recent graduates interested in artificial intelligence, data analytics, technology, business process improvement, engineering, or related fields.

This is an onsite, part-time internship located at our Sauget, Illinois facility.

What You’ll Do

As an Artificial Intelligence Intern, you’ll work with employees and leaders across the organization to identify opportunities where AI and other digital tools may improve efficiency, communication, data analysis, and decision-making.

Because this is an emerging area within our organization, projects may evolve based on business needs, intern interests, and opportunities identified throughout the internship.

Responsibilities may include:

• Researching artificial intelligence tools, technologies, and potential business applications.
• Partnering with different departments to understand current processes, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
• Helping identify repetitive or time-consuming tasks that may benefit from automation or AI-assisted solutions.
• Supporting the development and testing of AI-based tools, workflows, prompts, or process improvements.
• Organizing, reviewing, and analyzing business or operational data.
• Assisting with the creation of dashboards, reports, summaries, or other decision-support resources.
• Comparing available technologies and presenting recommendations to business leaders.
• Documenting processes, project findings, testing results, and recommended next steps.
• Developing user guides, training materials, or presentations to help employees understand and use new tools.
• Supporting responsible AI practices, including data privacy, accuracy, confidentiality, and appropriate human review.
• Presenting completed projects and key learnings to leadership and other stakeholders.
• Contributing ideas and bringing a fresh perspective to how technology can support a manufacturing organization.

What We’re Looking For

• Current enrollment in or recent completion of a program related to artificial intelligence, computer science, data analytics, information systems, engineering, business, mathematics, or another related field.
• Interest in artificial intelligence, automation, data, and emerging technologies.
• Curiosity and a willingness to explore unfamiliar tools and business problems.
• Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate technical ideas in a clear and practical way.
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating with employees from different departments.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Basic experience with AI tools, data analysis, programming, automation, or visualization platforms is preferred but not required.
• Ability to handle company information responsibly and maintain confidentiality.
• Willingness and ability to work onsite at our Sauget, Illinois facility.

Compensation & Internship Details

• Pay Range: $20–$22 per hour
• Employment Type: Part-time internship
• Work Location: Onsite in Sauget, Illinois
• Benefits Eligibility: This part-time internship is not eligible for company benefits.
• Schedule: Hours will be established based on business needs and the selected candidate’s availability.
