About the role – Christchurch based
As a Customer Experience Technician Apprentice, you'll receive comprehensive training across a wide range of household appliances while working alongside experienced technicians. Through a combination of practical, on-the-job learning and structured development, you'll build the technical skills and confidence needed to become a qualified Appliance Service Technician.
What you'll be doing
Learn how to diagnose, service, and repair a range of household appliances
Receive structured on-the-job training from experienced technicians and mentors
Assist with appliance repairs in the workshop and, as your skills develop, in customers' homes
Develop strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills through hands-on experience
Complete service documentation and job records accurately
Build your product knowledge through training sessions, technical manuals, and online learning resources
Deliver excellent customer service and maintain professional interactions with customers
Follow all health and safety procedures and contribute to a safe working environment
What we're looking for
A genuine interest in technology, mechanics, or hands-on problem-solving
A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
Strong communication and customer service skills
Good organisational and time management abilities
A practical, solution-focused mindset
The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
A full New Zealand driver's licence (or the ability to obtain one in the near future)
