- Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities at a government law-enforcement location.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity, unauthorized access, and potential hazards.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with law-enforcement personnel and emergency responders as appropriate.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials, maintain awareness of restricted areas, and report security-related concerns, policy violations, and suspicious activity through established channels.
- Prepare accurate reports and maintain required documentation related to patrols, incidents, visitor activity, and security-related observations in accordance with site-specific policies.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
- Possess a college degree.
- Have 2+ years of law enforcement, military, or corrections experience.
- Possess a DD214 with honorable discharge, an associate degree, 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, or a corrections academy certificate.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
