PRIMARY DETAIL
Increase casual pool for events, restaurant and kitchen; kitchenhands support prep and maintain clean, sanitised work areas.We are looking for casual Kitchen Hands to join our growing Food and Beverage team. This will be a great opportunity to work within a strong team.
Reporting to the Executive Chef, you will be a working alongside a team of chefs, cooks & Kitchen Hands to deliver the kitchen’s operations on all menus across our venues including Lachlan’s Restaurant and Events & Catering.
Duties include:
- Assisting other chefs when required for the smooth operation of the kitchen through cleaning, storing, receiving deliveries.
- Safety and cleanliness of kitchen equipment and surroundings
- Quality and Consistent Food storage and cleaning
- Goods receiving and storing food in temperature-controlled facilities
Day-to-day
clean kitchens and food preparation areas
clean cooking and general utensils used in kitchens and restaurants such as cutlery or dishes
wash, peel and chop vegetables or fruit
transfer, weigh and check supplies and equipment
prepare ingredients for cooking, and prepare salads, savouries and sandwiches
set up food and beverage trays for serving to customers
cook, toast and heat food items as need
