About the Role
Be responsible for Governance scope of work, employees ER/IR matters assigned by the superiors. In addition, this role will also be assisting the manager in supervising and guiding the juniors in all expects of the functional scope of work of the Department.Roles and Responsibilities:
1. HR Governance
A big part of the role will be focusing on governance matters working together with manager and in collaboration with ERM/Compliance in setting up, performing periodic review on departmental/functional incident threshold guidelines which serves as a reference for consideration of the appropriate consequence management action for people incidents reported.
- Collaborate with other function heads within HR to periodically review existing guidelines and SOP for continuous improvement.
- Ensure timely update of relevant SOP and the appropriate follow-up action execution on timely basis.
- Draft new policy (if relevant) and conduct periodic review on existing policies, processes and procedures to keep information updated for reference.
2. Employee Relations /Industrial Relations and Discipline Management
- Develop and enhance professional relationship with Unions and to maintain industrial harmony.
- Proactively engage union in managing employee issues (if relevant)
- Collaborate with the relevant HRBP and department managers to manage employee issues.
- Lead the investigation of employee complaints/grievance/mis-conduct cases as per regulatory as well as internal policy/guidelines requirements.
- Review mis-conduct cases and recommend the appropriate disciplinary action in line policies/guidelines/standards.
- Support other team members in managing employee people incidents review /reporting for timely and proper closure (as and when required).
- Provide training to assist managers to gain awareness in managing employee relation matters as per the legal requirements in line with risk management.
- Collaborate with manager in strategizing and managing collective agreement process to achieve win-win within budget allocated.
3. Performance Improvement Program (PIP)
- Provide PIP training to the managers to equip them with clear understanding of the requirement and process of PIP.
- Facilitate PIP cases end-to-end as assigned and be the lead for IR team members.
Minimum Job Requirements:
- Degree in Law /HR /Management and any relevant field.
- At least 10 years’ experience HR with at least 5 years in governance/IR/Legal function.
