Description
Job Overview
As a Senior BOM Product Engineer, you'll play a key role in connecting Marvin product designs to the systems and data that drive manufacturing. You'll help ensure products are configured correctly, manufacturing data is accurate, and orders move smoothly from quote to production.
This position works closely with teams across Engineering, R&D, Manufacturing, IT, and Product Management to build and maintain product rules, BOMs (Bills of Materials), and manufacturing data for both standard and custom products. You'll also serve as a technical leader, helping guide less experienced engineers and driving improvements to our systems and processes.
The work you do directly impacts how Marvin products are quoted, ordered, and manufactured. Your expertise will help ensure product data is accurate, systems perform effectively, and customers receive the products they expect. You'll have the opportunity to solve complex challenges, improve processes, and help shape how Marvin supports manufacturing at scale. This job is located in Warroad, MN. If you're considering relocating to Warroad, you may be eligible for a relocation benefit package to assist with your move. Marvin offers an extensive relocation benefit package that included the movement of your household goods, temporary housing, and much more - in addition to relocation counselor to assist you throughout the entire journey.
Highlights of your role
You'll lead efforts to define, build, and maintain product configurations and manufacturing rules that support Marvin's quoting, ordering, and production systems.
In this role, you will:
- Maintain BOMs, routings, and manufacturing product data within PMU, Marvin's proprietary product rules platform.
- Translate product designs, engineering drawings, and technical documentation into manufacturing-ready product structures and rules.
- Partner with R&D, Manufacturing, IT, QA, and business teams to develop scalable solutions for both configured and custom products.
- Research and analyze product data from existing systems and databases to support new development and ongoing improvements.
- Work with data stewards to ensure supporting manufacturing data is accurate and properly maintained in D365 and related systems.
- Test and validate product data and system changes to ensure they meet requirements and perform correctly.
- Support manufacturing and customer-facing teams by troubleshooting product and order issues and helping maintain accurate data flow across systems.
- Create and maintain documentation that clearly explains product logic, configuration rules, and system changes.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, data quality, system performance, and the overall user experience.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to Associate Product Engineers and help support their development.
You're a good fit if you have (or if you can)
- 4+ years of experience in Engineering, IT, manufacturing systems, or another role focused on technical problem solving.
- Strong knowledge of Marvin products and manufacturing processes.
- Advanced Excel skills and the ability to work with complex business rules and product logic.
- Experience working with BOMs, manufacturing data, product configuration, or related systems.
- Ability to lead projects, collaborate across teams, and influence solutions.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- Experience mentoring or coaching others is a plus.
