Job Summary

As a Weapons Systems Analysis Team Lead, you will serve as a key technical and programmatic leader supporting the Army's Integrated Air and Missile Defense mission. In this role, you will lead and coordinate complex analysis efforts across multiple stakeholders, manage technical priorities, and drive execution of critical test and operational support activities. You will evaluate performance data from Live Firings, Ground Testing, Simulation Exercises, and Real-World Events to provide actionable assessments and recommendations that influence the Army's Integrated Air and Missile Defense capabilities.

This position is ideal for a technically oriented project leader who excels at organizing complex efforts, coordinating cross-functional teams, managing competing priorities, and communicating results to senior leaders and customers. Success in this role requires strong analytical capabilities, attention to detail, proactive problem solving, and the ability to effectively manage projects from planning through execution and reporting.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, coordination, execution, and reporting of weapons system analysis activities supporting Integrated Air and Missile Defense programs.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of weapon system requirements, operational concepts, and performance objectives.
  • Define analytical strategies, performance metrics, schedules, and deliverables to support program objectives and customer priorities.
  • Manage and coordinate support for Live Firings, Ground Tests, Simulation Exercises, and operational assessments, ensuring objectives, resources, and timelines are successfully executed.
  • Serve as the primary interface between technical teams, government customers, warfighters, and leadership to communicate project status, risks, findings, and recommendations.
  • Respond to Requests for Information (RFIs) by leading analysis efforts, coordinating subject matter experts, and delivering timely and accurate products to stakeholders.
  • Analyze system performance data and translate technical findings into executive-level briefings and actionable recommendations.
  • Track system requirements, software changes, program milestones, and technical impacts to ensure alignment with mission objectives.
  • Identify program risks, technical challenges, and opportunities for process improvements, developing mitigation strategies and corrective actions as needed.
  • Prepare and present project updates, technical briefings, and performance assessments to U.S. Government customers, operational users, and senior leadership.
  • Support business growth initiatives, including technical proposal development, project planning, resource estimation, and capture activities.
  • Mentor junior analysts and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Systems Engineering, or a related STEM field plus 10 years of experience supporting Missile Defense System Analysis, program execution, or related defense operations.
  • Demonstrated experience leading projects, coordinating teams, or managing complex technical efforts.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills, including experience briefing senior leaders and customers.
  • Ability to travel up to 15%.
  • Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience leading Fire Control analysis efforts for a major Missile Defense System, including Flight Tests, Ground Tests, Simulations, and Real-World operational assessments.
  • Demonstrated project management experience involving planning, execution, scheduling, risk management, and stakeholder coordination.
  • Experience working directly with U.S. Government customers, Warfighters, and senior defense leadership.
  • Proficiency with technical analysis and programming tools such as MATLAB, Python, C/C++, or similar platforms.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing cross-functional technical teams and driving mission-critical objectives.
