About the Role DaVita is headquartered in Denver, CO, and is a global leader in Kidney Care Delivery. Our mission is to deliver the highest quality care to our patients and to be the employer of choice for our teammates.
We are seeking a data-driven, analytically oriented Divisional Finance Manager (DFM) for the Bay City Lights division within the Titan Group (Mid-Atlantic). Reporting directly to the Division Vice President (DVP) and the Group Finance Director (GFD), you will provide financial stewardship for a $200M+ business. You will be passionate about supporting our operations teams to deliver the best possible care to our patients, acting as a cross-functional leader alongside Regional Operations Directors (RODs), Facility Administrators (FAs), and physician partners.
Geography Requirement Please note: This role requires an in-market presence. Candidates must reside within Maryland, Delaware, or Washington, DC. This is a fundamental requirement to facilitate in-person financial presentations, JV meetings with local nephrologists, and clinic support.
Core Responsibilities
- Financial Stewardship & Strategic Partnership: Provide financial stewardship of a $200M+ business. Act as a thought-partner to the DVP to support strategic initiatives, drive results, and guide operational decisions impacting the P&L (growth, wage investments, and clinical outcomes).
- Operational Optimization: Analyze data, synthesize findings, and collaborate with operators to optimize operations across 75+ clinics.
- Financial Planning & Analysis: Lead financial planning and analysis, including forecasting treatment volume, developing annual budgets, DeNovo modeling, and CapEx management.
- Executive Reporting & Operating Reviews: Create and deliver monthly P&L report-outs. Lead Regional & Division Monthly Operating Reviews (MORs) to report financial and operational performance to Group leadership, driving action on non-labor items and outlier management.
- JV & Clinic Support: Assist RODs in creating financial content for Joint Venture (JV) partner meetings. Support Facility Administrators (FAs) with financial onboarding and ongoing P&L questions.
- Labor & Growth Management: Lead weekly labor reporting and management (DPC and CC OT targets) and actively participate in Growth SteerCo and Tactical calls.
Role Requirements
- Location: Must currently reside in or be willing to relocate to Maryland, Delaware, or Virginia.
- Experience: 1-2 years of consulting, investment banking, or private equity experience is strongly preferred. (Alternatively, 5+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, finance, or corporate strategy). Healthcare industry experience is a plus.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field preferred.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and Excel. Experience with reporting tools (Anaplan, Tableau) is highly preferred.
- Travel up to 10%
Key Capabilities & Competencies
- Intellectual Curiosity: A natural drive to dig deep into the data, ask the "why" behind the numbers, and continuously seek out new ways to optimize financial performance and understand the nuances of clinic operations.
- Data-Driven & Analytically Oriented: Highly capable of translating complex financial data into clear, actionable narratives for senior leadership and physician partners.
- Leading by Influence: Ability to build strong relationships and drive accountability with operational leaders (RODs and FAs) who do not report directly to you.
- Ownership & Accountability: Demonstrated ability to take full ownership of a Division P&L and drive profitability and growth.
- Adaptability: Comfort operating in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while balancing short-term operational execution with long-term strategic planning.
